By 2022, Eatwell Culinary Indonesia has owned and operated almost 230 outlets in 38 cities across Indonesia

1995.

FIRST ICHIBAN SUSHI OUTLET

In the early nineties, a group of friends returned to Indonesia after graduating from the US and found that there were no restaurants offering good quality Japanese food at an affordable price.

In 1995, this group opened the first Ichiban Sushi Outlet in Plaza Senayan with the aim of providing access for the large and growing Indonesian middle class to Japanese cuisine. And thus, Panca Boga Paramita was born (later evolved to Eatwell Culinary Group).

1996.

FIRST TA WAN OUTLET

The group of friends also came to the realization that, similarly, in the landscape of Chinese restaurants, there were no offerings in the market where consumers could eat a decent variety of delicious Chinese food at an affordable price. That gave birth to Ta Wan, with its first Outlet in Mega Mall Pluit in 1996.

2003.

FIRST OUTSIDE JAKARTA

Seeing the increasing demand for comfortable places to eat, Ta Wan marked its first-time expansion outside Jakarta by opening its outlet in Tunjungan Plaza Surabaya.

2007.

FIRST IN SULAWESI

With growing enthusiasm for Chinese food, Ta Wan expanded its wing beyond Java. Ta Wan opened the first Sulawesi outlet at Manado Town Square in 2007.

2011.

FIRST IN KALIMANTAN

Following the success of the opening outside Java, more precisely North Sulawesi in 2007, Ta Wan extended its warmth to Kalimantan as well. Ta Wan opened its restaurant in Plaza Balikpapan.

2013.

PARTNERSHIP WITH FHP

Ichiban Sushi and Ta Wan, under Panca Boga Paramita, partnered with Falcon House Partners (FHP) and mutually carried out the same mission: to make it better and to grow bigger together.

During the same year, Ta Wan opened its first branch in Sumatra.

2015.

INTRODUCE ICHIBAN MASCOT

To strengthen its relationships with and get more customer recognition, Ichiban Sushi launched its mascot named Ichikuma in a white bear form as a part of its identity. Ichikuma likes to travel to and explore new places which resemble Ichiban Sushi with its continuous innovation in creating the best food for customers.

2017.

EATWELL CULINARY ESTABLISHED

A few years after the initial collaboration with FHP in 2013, Eatwell Culinary Indonesia was established. This set the beginning of the company to evolve even bigger, moreover gain the possibility of acquiring new brands in the future.

Within the same year, Eatwell Culinary also partnered with aggregators and launched its online delivery.

2018.

NEW BRAND ADDED

Over the years, the group has not only grown its existing brands but also identified new brands for acquisition. In 2018, the group added one new member to its portfolio: Dapur Solo, an Indonesian concept restaurant focusing on Javanese cuisine that is also one of the largest lunch box delivery vendor in Jabodetabek.
