Who we are

In the early nineties, a group of friends returned to
Indonesia after graduating from the US and found
that there were no restaurants offering good quality
Japanese food at an affordable price.

In 1995, this group opened the first Ichiban Sushi Outlet in Plaza Senayan with the aim of providing access for the large and growing Indonesian middle class to Japanese cuisine. And thus, Eatwell Culinary Group was born.

The group of friends also came to the realization that, similarly, in the landscape of Chinese restaurants, there were no offerings in the market where consumers could eat a decent variety of delicious Chinese food at an affordable price. That gave birth to Ta Wan, with its first Outlet in Mega Mal Pluit in 1996.

Over the years, the group has not only grown its existing brands but also identified new brands for acquisition. In 2018, the group added two new brands to its portfolio: Eat & Eat, the no. 1 food court operator in Indonesia and Dapur Solo and Indonesian concept restaurant that is also Indonesia’s largest lunch box delivery vendor.

By the end of 2018, the group owned and operated over 210 Outlets in 38 Cities in Indonesia.

PRESIDENT COMMISSIONER

Henri has been a commissioner at Eatwell Culinary since 2016, and president commissioner since 2018. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in Indonesia and his master’s degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in the USA.

Johan has been a commissioner at Eatwell Culinary since 2014. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and his master’s degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

One of the co-founders of Eatwell Culinary, Sumarno has been with the group since its frst Outlet in 1995 and currently serves as President Director and CEO. He completed his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in the USA.

BERNT RAMLI
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

One of the co-founders of Eatwell Culinary, Bernt has been with the group since its first Outlet in 1995 and currently serves as COO. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Washington in the USA.

CUNCUN WIJAYA
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Cuncun joined Eatwell in 2018 as CFO and currently serves as an independent director for the group. Prior to Eatwell, he has had nearly two decades of cross-industry experience within the fnance domain. He completed his bachelor’s degree from Universitas Atma Jaya and his master’s degree from Universitas Pelita Harapan in Indonesia.

Corporate Secretary

The Corporate Secretary facilitates communication between the Board of Directors, the Board of Commissioners, shareholders, capital market authorities and other stakeholders. Eatwell’s corporate secretary since 2018 has been [name].
